How to Make a Shower Room        Part 5 of 5
Air operated flush
An air operated flush allows more options for positioning the dual flush button. You can even mount it outside the cistern unit.
Shades wall unit
The Shades wall unit is available with the option of double sided mirror doors.
The hinge plates are glued onto the glass. It sounds risky but they are solid.
Saniplast seat
There is nothing more annoying than a WC seat that moves around. A quality seat is always worth
a little extra because it is the sort of thing people judge the quality of the whole job on.
This Saniplast seat is very easy to fit and can be removed easily for cleaning.
It also fits the Shades Pan perfectly and doesn't move around.

PLANNING

The intended position for the WC was on the outside wall but we found out later on that it clashed with the hinged shower door. Luckily the joists ran the right way to allow the soil pipe to drop under the floor so we could locate the WC on the opposite wall. It just goes to show the importance of double checking every detail. The increased footprint of the shower from 800 to 1200 felt greedy but with a low profile tray it works. The Penta shower screen is completely power shower proof. Nothing escapes.

The Croydex thermostatic bar mixer has a Croydex Diverter Valve fitted on the outlet. The overhead extra large shower head also from Croydex is supplied by a length of Speedfit pipe that was run up inside the stud walls and across the loft. The 'rise and fall' shower head is supplied by the usual flexible hose fed out of the bottom of the diverter. You can select either head or simultaneous use. The sliding rail is cleverly designed to allow you to adjust the height of the fixing points to cover old rails.
