A few hours ago it was bare plywood, now it will
take light foot traffic but if it's going to be walked
over regularly it will require a wear-coat.

The Sealoflex system is used in America and Europe on everything from small extensions to dormer roofs and even a huge railway station. It is odourless, non toxic and water washable. No heat means lower insurance premiums. The product offers a modern alternative to built up roofing felt or adhesive applied single membranes.

Builder Carl Gregory gave us a quick demonstration of just how easy it is to apply. He had built the extension with a warm flat roof and had already applied a coat of Sealobond pink to the plywood over the joints and laid in strips of special fabric to tape them. This fabric will allow several millimetres of movement on those joints. Carl's experience with the product has gained him approved contractor status. He has used the system to solve a few problems on coastal properties where wind lift has been a problem on felt. His success on these jobs has given him complete confidence in the materials. Provided you do the job properly everything is guaranteed. The company has no recorded failures of the material and will guarantee it for ten years. If you then go back and give it a quick top coat you can extend the guarantee for another five and so on indefinitely.

IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS

Do not cover Sealoflex® with stone chips, screeds, tiles or soil. Should this be required, the Sealoflex CT™ System must be used. Do not apply Sealoflex® if rain is imminent or at temperatures below 40 degrees F. Although Sealoflex® will last for 10 years and more it is advisable to give the system a maintenance treatment of Sealoflex Finish Coat™ every five years. The roof surface to which the Sealoflex® System is being applied must have positive drainage. Please refer to product MSDS, Primer Chart, Fabric Chart and System Application Guides.
