Replacing sash windows the easy way        Part 3 of 3

A final bead of sealant completes the job. The window is now energy efficient
and maintenance free.
Up close and personal.

From my slightly skeptical position at the start of this job I quickly realised that Andersen are onto something very big here. Not only is it easy to fit, it also provides you with an excellent window which will satisfy the conservation conscious who want to retain the old style but want to improve energy efficiency and get rid of the five year painting cycle. I was standing there gazing wistfully at the beauty of this window against the

superb brickwork and I couldn't help feeling sorry for painters and decorators who will lose out when this window starts to sell in large volumes. Then it occurred to me that replacing windows with Andersen Woodwrights is now well within the grasp of most painters and decorators. The only extra tool they would need is a table saw for ripping down the trims. The rest of it is child’s play.
